Hi all (again)
SATA DVD not recognised in BIOS (and win7)
This is after installing win7 from a USB stick after originally encountering this problem trying to install from the DVD.
Also, in case it makes any difference my D drive is another HDD. i.e. i have 2 SATA HDD (recognised in BIOS) and one SATA DVD not recognised in BIOS. Mobo is GA-EX58_UD5.
WEIRDNESS
Whilst i did install from a USB drive i managed to mess this up somehow, can remember what happened exactly, but at some point the BIOS stopped seeing my 2 SATA HDD and just saw the SATA DVD and i finished the installation form my win7 DVD.
In the end Win7 installed fine and both HDDs are detected [#] but no DVD drive. I have tried the microsoft fixit tool, but no luck. I've been googling but found nothing relevent.
Am really stumped here and am hoping someone has a magic solution
thanks

[#] when i say detected you can't actually see them in the BIOS screens but they flash up as part of the BIOS boot up messages.
