DVD Playback Problem

Hello,

I recorded a TV program onto my DVD player's HDD, then last night I copied it to DVD.

The DVD works fine on the laptop in WMP, Real Player and Power DVD with no problems.

However on my PC, it crashes all these three programs with a "******* has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for any inconvenience." error message.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening? I take it that the problem is software related?

Thanks

Most likely software related, possibly directly relating to the codecs on the PC system. Do you use the same codecs as the laptop or different? I would check out something like CCCP and unstalling all your original codecs, installing CCCP, rebooting and then trying it and see if that helps.

I'm not sure chat codecs are actually installed on either of the machines. How do i find this out? How do i uninstall the codecs?

Ill check CCCP out.

Cheers
