DVD playing software?

Hey guys..

What is the best DVD player software around? Preferably that plays both English and American (Region 1 and 2) DVDs? Free too..

I use VLC

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Never used anything else, although I did once use PowerDVD and found it better than VLC for DVD's but then Power DVD isn't free afaik

vlc or powerdvd.

i usually use vlc, but for somethings powerdvd is better

Only thing though, is there a way to fast-foward and re-wind without taking it out of full screen mode?

someone asked this exact question, and no i cant see a way (unfortunately) unless you use fullscreen with the status bar (not real fullscreen)

one thing u can do in pwr dvd

but you can use + / - or whatever else you want to map it, cntrl+s > interface > hotkeys.
