Not sure if this is the correct forum (if not please move)...

Does anybody know whats happened to Intervocative??... Most importantly 'DVD Profiler'???!!!

I can't connect to their database and their website seems to be down!.. Anyone else have this??.. www.intervocative.com/

I just bought the 'Comic Relief-Little Britain' DVD and wanted to add it to my profile!. :(

If they've got 'moobs Upward' then is there an alternative database program for listing all my DVD's??...

Cheers
Sim :)

I haven't used it the past few days but I did update my link about 4 days ago or so and it seemed to be working fine although having tried just now it seems to be down.

they appear down here as well :(
Hopefully it'll just be a sever problem, but if it isn't I beleive you can export your profile in XML and CMV formats, which can then be imported into other programmes (I beleive virtually any spreadsheet should accept cmv, although you may need to spend a while cleaning it up/formatting the result).
About the only thing you would probably lose would be the pics.

As I say, hopefully it's just a temporary problem with their hosting/server.

it sounds like there has been a spat between the company that released v2.x and the new company that does v3 - although it was the same programmer who wrote both versions and was one of the founders of intervocotive (apparently he started it with 5 friends or something to distribute their work, but only his programme ever got sold).

There is currently an injunction against Invelos, but it might get settled fairly quickly as it's filed as an expedited hearing.

It sounds like it could be a case of the name being the problem, rather than anything more (Intervocotive seem to have trademarked DVDprofiler shortly after V3 from Invelos came out).

Mildly annoying to say the least, as V3 is much better than V2, and I actually bought a licence for it (the features of V3 made it worth it for me).

Yeah it's pretty annoying, I even went to the effort of scanning a bunch of covers and uploading new profiles to Invelos. :(

Hopefully it will all get sorted quickly.

Hi All DVD profiler users

As the Invelos site is down does anyone have the installation files for both DVD Profiler 3 and Profiler Mobile 1?

I hope asking for these files is not against the rules.

Thanks

Rich

the site is back up, and apparently any legal dispute has now been resolved (invelos bought out intervocotive).
