Dvd Re-Writeable help - big problem

Hi all,

A friend of mine has taken the dvd out of his camcorder with the first 12 months of his son recorded on it to play it back on the tv and not really known what he was doing.

The dvd reader/writer asked him if he wanted to initialise the disk and he said yes

As a result the disk now reads as blank and it doesnt read any files if you put it in a pc.

Is there any software anyone can suggest that would recover from this type of media. Pretty gutted as you can imagine.

It only took 1 minute to initialise so I cant see the files having been overwritten yet.

Put it back in the camera and try to 'finalise' it.

will be able to use that to get the vob files from it


-edit, if it's RW, it may not work....., worth a shot tho
