Hi All

I am about to start to build a machine that will be used for a number of things incluuding basic MS office, basic video and photoediting (Photoshop CS3) and Internet.

The person that I am building it for uses their machine to render DVDs and the current P4 they use has problems doing anything else whilst rendering a DVD.

I dont seem to have that problem myself (my machine is a Dual Core E2180 with 2gb of DDR800 Ram)

I have budgeted about £100 for a cpu and my gut feeling is that something like a Dual Core E6750 with 2 gb of DDR800 should be fine.

Any ideas?? Or other recomendations?

Regards

Thanks for advice - I have read good reviews of this cpu but did read that some mb's may not me suited without a Bios update.

I would prefer one that is ready to take the chip straight from the box.

Any recomendations? Budget about £100

Regards

Steve
