DVD Rip Software

Hi everyone

I want to start copying my entire DVD library to a media PC I'm going to build.
Compared to some, I'm sure it's a small collection, but I've got over 300 titles, many box sets, so the project will take a while

My question is: what's the best software to do this?
Free or not, I'm happy to pay for a good bit of software. And it has to get around all that copy-protection rubbish! Jeez, it's my disc!!

I don't want to back up the DVDs to another disc, I just want to store them on a HDD and eventually have a large movie library on a small media PC without using the discs.

I'm currently using DVD Shrink, but it seems that creates a movie file, with Audio and Video subfolders, correct?

What's the best software to just rip one file across (if possible) with the movie and menu options and added features, etc.

Many thanks!

Thanks both for your answers!

Coxyis, how do I go about creating a virtual drive? Do you know of any online tutorials for me to set one up, and then use it to convert an .iso to .avi?

Many thanks

Geez I didn't realise how difficult it'd be to just convert the DVD (menu's and extra features intact) into ONE .avi file!

If someone made this software, I would pay for it.

Hi all

I've just come across a great plugin for WMC called "My Movies"

Fantastic thing, it can rip your files, and download DVD information automatically and add them to your WME library! Think iTunes for movies.

So far, so good. I'm ripping my second movie now (Wall Street)
