I'm off camping in Holland and France in a couple of days time and I'm in the process of putting bought DVDs onto my wife's laptop for the little ones to watch on the car journey and to keep them entertained in the evenings.

I'm not going to illegally sell them , they are my own DVDs which i want to copy.

Anyway .. I'm using DVD Shrink but when i copy them into VOB files I'm finding that most of the videos end up being in a foreign language.

The strange thing is when i import them into NERO 10 and preview them they are in English. But when i put the video into the timeline then it changes into French/German.

Help me please

...If you are using dvd shrink then can you not strip out the foreign langauages before writing back?

When I did this for an Archos player I used to have I just used DVD-WMV. Put the DVD into the PC and converted it into a wmv for a 7" screen (or whatever size you need)

Then use whatever you want to play it, doesn't have to be media player. Sizes were much smaller than the equivalent vobs.

Ripping to avi would be so much more space effective, quality will still be high, I personally use dvdfab works a treat with no problems.
