DVD Software

Basically what I'm looking for is some DVD software.

What codec do most DVD's player play ie mpeg, iso etc

Secondly can anyone suggest software to convert many types of codecs to whichever a DVD player uses and can also make 2 .ai files into the one movie. Any suggestions would really help.

Get Nero! Has a codec for DVD playback (meaning WMP, etc can play DVDs) & NeroVision Express which can convert/create/etc to VCD, SVCD, DVD, etc
