Hi guys,

My bro’s just bought an iPod and wants to put a few of his DVD’s on it?

I can’t remember the software I used to use – it was about three years ago :)

Can anyone recommend or remind me what he should be using? Just something basic and preferably free ;)

Cheers,

SW.

Thanks for the replies guys, but I'm sure the app I used to use was sort of a complete package?

I used to whack a DVD in, and then I was able to select the chapters I wanted - which was great as I mostly used to rip episodic comedy shows ;)

BurningHorizons: Handbrake hasn't read any of the 5 DVD's I've tried it with so far? It either gives me a protected disc error or tries to read the disc indefinitely...

Isn't that an Apple (Leopard) thing only???...

Nope, using Vista x64 here.

That's exactly what Handbrake does.
I'd say 1in10 won't rip directly, in which case I use another prog to rip to HDD first. You can select individual chapters if you wish.
I've just done Friends, Black Books and Black Adder this way.
Maxes out all my cores and takes about 8mins to do a 2hr movie.
