I often play my DVDs on my PC but watch them through my High Def TV.
What id like to know is, is there any software out there that will allow me to upscale a normal DVD to HD quality for the TV?
Even though its not true HD but you all know what Im asking :p

I know the feature is available on some DVD players

yup, make sure "all supported" is in codecs/RAW
and "resize and aspect" is selected with native inputted into the boxes.
Set OSD to check. Play

If you have very low quality AVI's I would use post processing as well, it's reduces macro blocking effect.

Wheres all these options
lol I installed the program and this is all i can see

That's because you're in the main page! Here are my settings, use the same in this one but change the four resolution settings in the boxes.

Copy this one (enables DVD scaling) - RAW, all supported.

And if you want post-processing for low quality AVI's (blocky) enable/copy these settings.

Depending on your audio system, might need to change audio codecs, I use FFDSHOW to stream Dolby Digital & DTS to the digital outputs on my soundcard for off-board processing.

I'm using October 17th build, 2006. Probably get updated version now.

Nice one I got the new version and changed the options as you have said
Thanks for the help people
Going to give it a whirl now :D

Don't forget to enable OSD to check scaling is working, for example on my system with a region 1 DVD scaling to Philips 16:10 green text on the top left

input 720:480
output 1680:1050

If scaling is disabled it'll show

input 720:480
output 720:480
