dvd verification software

Hi all,

Basically I bought some 2nd hand dvds and I want to make sure they are all ok (quite a lot of them so I can't really watch them all at once!). Is there a piece of software that will run through the DVD and make sure all blocks are readable?

Hypothetically speaking, what would you do if one of the DVDs did have bad sectors?

take it back to the shop. They have a 48 hour "grace period"

i think you would be very unlucky if you did have one or more that didnt play
cant say i have ever had 1 and that goes for CD`s too

rip them

successful rip = good.otherwise = bad

Will take him more than 48 hours to rip them all I would think. If it is as many as he is suggesting.

well I have about 12 DVDs so it is do-able. However would be a bit of a hassle!

Edit: just found that imgburn has a verify mode, so I am running that! Should do the trick!
