Hi guys, im after some friendly advice on the subject of creating videos and putting them onto DVD.

Basically I go riding on my motorbike and have taken some really good footage with my digital video camera.

All I would like to know is please is what is the best software to use to put the video onto a DVD? Ive used NERO 6 and the video and sound go out of sync all the time.

Please advise on the best software to use, im willing to go out and buy it if its good, and hopefully, pretty easy.

Cheers in advance

Try using the latest version of Nero - there's a demo on the website. I've found it is pretty good for creating menus and burning video DVDs.

If anyone knows of a free alternative though, I would be interested to hear about it

give pinacle studio a try. once you get the hang of cutting a pasting sections of video its very very easy to use. and the selection of output tyes is very usefull. its pretty cheap aswell.

Have you thought about the possibility of a standalone DVD recorder?
You can buy them for £69 and your film will go straight onto a DVD without any messing about on the PC.
Of course it won't be as versatile as a program like Pinnacle but for ease of use it can't be beaten.
