This Slimtype DVDRW SOSW-852S used to work fine, however recently it will not recognise DVD-Video... CDs and Data DVDs work fine though. The drive just hangs for ages, then says it's empty... I removed all autoplay links in case it was hijacking it and trying to play it with something that doesn't exist, which didn't work. In all players I've tried it just says something like "drive busy" or "no disc in drive".
Explorer itself cannot get on to the dvd, claiming as usual: "please insert a disk into drive E"
I can only assume it is a soft/firmware thing but I don't really know where to go from here.
This has become quite a frustrating issue to me, and I would greatly appreciate any pointers/advice on how to solve this issue.
