dvd with built in hdd ?

my parents are after one, have asked me to find out the best one to get, they want to be able to record onto the harddrive from TV input if possible.

They use a 42" Panasonic Plasma screen, this isnt HD but they will upgrade eventually.

budget upto £250

Do NOT get the Samsung SH853M or SH855M. They look best on paper but the usability of the machine is seriously flawed.

Panasonic EX77 and the Sony range are good buys.

Also bear in mind that a dedicated PVR with 2 tuners and a Hard Drive, and then a seperate DVD player is often cheaper and better. Most people don't need to burn onto a DVD anyway... just record, watch and delete.
