I backed up a lot of data onto discs to move onto my new pc ( i know i should have gotten a external drive or something but that was too expensive! ). I have about 12 dvds worth of data.
I have built my new pc, Specs are as follows:
Intel Core2Duo 2.6 CPU
2x1gb Geil DDR2 pc6200 ram
Intel DP965LT Motherboard
The pc is running fine and smooth and has no problems apart from when i try to read/use the DVD drive.
Whenever i try to copy any of the data over from my discs it slows my whole pc down almost to standstill, it stops my wireless internet from working, glitches all my audio and takes about 55minutes to copy a dvds worth of info.
I used the DVD drive on my old pc so i know it works.
Any ideas what the problem is? I think ive updated my motherboard drivers and firmware but to no avail.
Please help asap, its really important i get this data on my pc!
