My PC has been running rock solid stable for about a week non stop now. I had 3800x2 @ 2.8Ghz 1.4v and my OCZ 1GB 3-4-4-8 was running in 1T.
Today I picked up a Pinoneer DVDRW. When I got home I turned off the PC, which had been stable at those clocks for about a week with various amounts of load, wired the DVDRW in. Now to do this I had to swap my IDE cables around, originally it was the cable with two IDE slots on it going to the hdd. But I had to switch it to the two port lead going to my DVD Rom and my DVDRW. I had my 80GB IDE Deskstar in as well as my LG DVD Rom and my Pioneer DVDRW. I was ready to go, so I booted up and noticed my FSB was 200Mhz I thought.. "I'll see to that later". Then it said there was an issue with my hdd boot priority. I just thought that was because I changed the loop the hdd was on. So went into bios and sorted that out. So I thought as I was their I'd put my memory back to 1T and my FSB back to 2.8 and the vcore to 1.4v. I did this, saved and restarted and my PC wouldn't post. These are the settings and clocks that the PC has been running for about a week constantly with no problems.
The only thing that I've (well Benjo) come up with is that my motherboard just may not like having two drives on the same loop.. But I wouldn't have thought my PC would run fine at stock.. But not overclocked.
HELP!! Why is this happening to me?
Cheers,
Naffa
