Hi.

I was going to buy the Samsung XL2370, LED and Full HD.

The problem is that I've noticed that it's only 60 Hz.

Is this a problem? Should I buy a different monitor with 75 Hz?

Yep, but I've been with a 75 Hz for 6 years, and now I change to 60 Hz...

Will I notice the change? What about eye-care?

I have noticed that some monitor are 75 Hz in their specs. But, only at 1280x1024 or a bit more. Is this true? So, at Full HD, there is only 60 Hz?

You most likely wont notice the difference as theres a big debate whether the human eye can properly register 60 fps +.

What does the damage to eyes is a poorly configured set up.

remember that 60Hz "refresh rate" on a TFT is very different to 60Hz on a CRT. On a CRT it's about how fast the cathode ray gun re-draws the image on the screen and 60Hz and low frequencies can lead to eye strain and head aches. On a TFT, each pixel is refreshed individually and so it's the pixel response time which determines that 'refresh '. When it comes to using v-sync and talking about frame rates, that is where the 60Hz vs 75Hz conversation comes into play, but it's important to realise that most TFT's just scale a 75Hz input refresh down to 60Hz internally anyway and drop frames, so it doesnt really give you any benefit in most cases.

If you need a higher frame rate for high level gaming, you'd probably want to look at some of the true 120Hz models now out there

won't make any difference, it won't hurt your eyes because it's an lcd and you can't register the loss of fps (in fact it might be better) because the conscious human brain works at 8-12hz
