hi,
im looking to buy a 20+ " monitor for gaming and web/graphic images etc and was wondering about the dvi connection.
is there a huge difference from vga and dvi? i can get a good spec monitor but it only has vga..is it worth the extra for dvi?
(this will be paired with a 8800 gts aswell)
any info appreciated.
regards,
steve.

On most monitors the difference is very small (just about unnoticable). The reason VGA-only is a lot cheaper is because the EU slap a dirty great tax on anything with a DVI port.

Yea i cant tell the difference using vga and dvi. Both look great.

On boot up with VGA the bios splash screen is off center, happens on this screen which is the 226BW also does it with my dads LG widescreen, i guess it happens to them all on vga.

DVI is fine though, nothing major to report ;)
