Hi all

Looking to get a cheap KVM to share my peripherals, headset & monitor between 2 pc's which are next to eachother

I have seen a Belkin one, which is usb, audio but vga only. Now one of the pc's has a vga port so thats fine, the monitor also has a vga port so great, except my main gaming pc only has DVI.

I was thinking is it possible for some sort of dvi-vga adaptor to bring the signal back to VGA so i could use this particular KVM? If so do i need to be concerned about quality loss? And if so is it a dual link adaptor i need?

Many thanks in advance :p

Thanks for the replys gents. Stu i have read some more into this evening, thanks for pointing me in the right direction thats what i was looking for i suppose, i was kind of on track as i vaguely remembered there being some issues concerning this kind of setup before. I have a GTX660 which has a dvi-i port, so aslong as i get a dvi-i to vga (the i pert being the important bit) i ahould be ok as dvi-i as default transmits both digital an analogue, and the card pumps out both signals so its a case of the adaptors doing the rest of the work just to translate the signal?
