dvi better than vga? pc-lcd tele

hi,

ive just got a 40" 1080p lcd tele and ive got computer connected to it with a x850xt graphics card. It will do 1920x10?? fine. at the moment im using a vga lead. Would i get a better picture using dvi to hdmi cable? this will be for watching films only plus a bit of net browsing. Are the radeon 3650 with hdmi outputs worth having?

I found VGA gave me a better picture on my setup - nVidia 8400GS and 32" 720p AOC TV, but that's mostly because the graphics card won't output proper 720p in HDMI its the silly 1280x768 res

yes dvi should be better: digital > analogue
