DVI Cable question

just wondered if anyone can answer a few questions I have about cables:

1) does the brand make any difference on a ATI 5870 (2 monitors @ 1920*1080 each)

2) what is the max length you can use before you start losing quality?

1) no - brand doesn't matter. Just get a single link DVI-D cable that looks like it is reasonably well made.

2) The DVI spec requires a DVI cable to work fine at 5m lenths. In practice I wouldn't use a basic cable any longer than 10m.
