DVI connection not working in Winodws 7

I'm using a T240 Samsung monitor. I've been using a vga connection, but realised that the DVI connectors that came in the box actually work with my machine. Plugged it all in and started up the pc, came through the digital well. Now as soon as it gets parts Windows 7 starting screen, no display. Only works through VGA. I've tried re-installing drivers and still only VGA output works.

Any help is appreciated!

I have a similar issue with my Samsung T220. Its plugged in via dvi to an Ati 4850 and keeps switching itself to analouge randomly, you have to press the source button to switch it back to digital, then its just a random matter of time before it decides to go analogue again. Its been fine for 6 months.

hmmm strange.. I've managed to fix it atm by plugging in the vga to dvi adapter in to one side, and the straight dvi-d to the other. Then cloning the screens, and disabling the VGA one.

Apparently this is a known problem in WIn7 tho :confused:

Thanks, I think it must be a different issue with mine them, I'm running XP and it will do it as soon as you turn the computer on.
