DVI-D Cable Help

Simple question hopefully! I currently have a DVI-D Single Link cable. Do I need a DVI-D Dual Link cable to work with my X1900XTX? Or do I have to buy a DVI-I cable. I have an Hitachi CML175SXW 17" monitor.

You only need a dual link cable if you want to drive resolutions above 1920x1200

As your monitor only supports a maximum resolution of 1280x1024 a single link cable like the one you've got will be fine

Thanks for the info. I've got it up and running now but I have to use the bottom slot on my mb (dfi ultra d). Might have to RMA the card though.
