I need a cheap temp GFX card that supports DVI-D. (2560*1600 res) Anyone know whether the nvidia 7300 / 7600 or ATi x1300 / 16xx series support this?

Cheers

AFAIK most every card will output DVI-I which will work with any DVI-D device. It wouldn't be up to the GPU itself to support this anyway. It would be up to the manufacturer of the card.

EDIT: Perchance you don't actually mean to ask if a card supports Dual-link DVI, do you? Many cards do not support this and it may be required for a WQXGA display.

No, DVI-D as in the one that the Dell 30" tft uses. I know a 6800 series does not support it, my previous 7800GTX did, as did the X1900XT.

You're talking about DVI-D with dual data link, not DVI-D per say.

* QXGA (2048 × 1536) @ 75 Hz
* HDTV (1920 × 1080) @ 85 Hz
* WQXGA (2560 × 1600)@ 60 Hz (30" LCD Dell, Apple, Samsung, HP, Quinux)
* WQUXGA (3840 × 2400) @ 33 Hz

Integrated dual-link DVI port supports high-definition digital displays up to 2560x1600

This resolution is exactly four times 1920x1200 and was released as a product in June 2001 by an IBM display panel built into the IBM T220 LCD monitor, IBM T221 (models DG1, DG3, DG4, DG5), Iiyama AQU5611DTBK, ViewSonic VP2290b [1], ADTX MD22292B and IDTech MD22292 (models B0, B1, B2, B5, C0, C2; all other brands are in fact relabled IDTech models, IDTech does not sell these monitors[2]). Most display cards with a DVI connector are capable of supporting the 3840x2400 resolution. However, the maximum refresh rate will be limited by the number of DVI links that are connected to the monitor. 1, 2, or 4 DVI connectors are used to drive the monitor using various tile configurations. Only the IBM T221-DG5 and IDTech MD22292B5 support the use of dual-link DVI ports using an external converter box.

Oh, and you'll need a dual link cable as well, but you probably got that with the monitor. Also note the 8800 series cards is said not to work with dual link and HDCP.
