hey all

My cableas are to short at 2M so im looking at buying 2 of these for my DVI-D connections:
As it will be a 2407wfp and a 2408wfp on the HDMI will this be an issue?

Will i be able to have the same image quality as before on a 3m cable?

I purchased a 5M DVI-D to DVI-D SL cable from them but it only displayes in Black and white so its a fualty cable ro its just to long.

Thanks all :)

Any replys welcolm as im off at 3:30 to get the cables!

I think 5m is the official max spec where the cable must meet regulations so less than that it shouldn't produce any problems.

If your screen is higher than 2048 x 1536 (or so) then you need a dual link cable. Think yours is 1200 so that should not be a problem.

That one must have been dodgey.

I was confused to why it was not working..

Was a Dual link 3A 40V Cable so should have very easy worked.

I feel it must have had a broken cable inside.

I got to RS Componants and they had closed up for the week, so i will pop over on monday if i can :D

Looks like it would.

I'm running a HDMI -> HDMI cable from my PC to LG 42 LCD teleivsion. But on the end of it putting a converter that came in the box with my 5970 to convert one HDMI end to a DVI. Also my HDMI cable is 5m long (high quality though) and I dont' see any problems when I run Blu Ray content.

Note though that DVI doens't carry sound so you'll have to source the sound through the PC and normal speakers as it won't get to the TV for the TV speakers to process.

Taff

I use a 10M DVI to HDMI cable to connect my PC to 42" 1080P TV, Works a treat.
