DVi-D vs Display Port

Is the any difference between the two? I running 120hz BenQ xl2420T and using the DVi-D lead at the moment.
But I just thinking is it worth spend out on a Display port lead?

Theres no significant differences in terms of quality or response between DP or DVI with the XL2420T.

So the only reason to buy one would be better cable and not big fat thing like Dvi-D

Theres probably some difference in feature support depending on what your use is but for plain driving a 1920x1080 120Hz signal for gaming theres no real advantage to using one over the other. I've found DP and 120Hz can be a bit fussier than DVI in terms of cable length and quality tho seems to depend a bit on monitor and GPU.
