Looking at getting a LCDTV as a big, cheap monitor for my PC. However, i wanted ideally one with DVI, HDMI and VGA inputs.

This is proving tricky at the price point i want (only really found the Hyundai Vvuon E261D - which i cant find in uk).

Then i read about DVI -> HDMI converters, and they're only about £20. Would these be of decent enough quality to carry my DVI signal from my PC and plug it into the LCD? Would they drop the quality much anyone know? and would they work with PCs ok?

its only a difference in the interface connection of the device really, since both carry a digital signal, and HDMI is capable of carrying sound as well. You can use DVI from PC into HDMI on an LCD TV no problems, but most TV's tend to have overscan issues which need addressing in order to make sure the whole image can be seen on the screen. Often it's better to use VGA > VGA from PC to TV as a result

right, back to the hunt then (XBox 360 will use the VGA hopefully, so would like the DVI for the PC)
