Hi All,

I am planning on ordering a viewsonic VP730 LCD flat panel monitor, however I have a problem. My graphics card (ATI X800 PRO) only has a DVI-I port and the monitor uses a DVI-D port and cable. Is there anyway of making use of DVI or am I going to have to stay with analogue VGA?

Thanks for your help in advance.

DVI-I = DVI-D + DVI-A

DVI-D = digital, aka HDMI without sound
DVI-A = VGA, aka RGBHV

Your graphics card outputs both digital and analogue from the DVI port. The monitor cable should just fire it straight up.
