Hi all,

I have purchased 3 Samsung 2443bw monitors for an eyefinity setup.

I finally got round to building the rig this week with a 5870 2gb eyefinity6 card.

I connected the 3 monitors today via dvi to display port adaptors ( bought from overclockers ) on each one and so far 2 of the monitors are fine but 1 of them has a distorted image.

I need help...

1. Do you think something is wrong with the monitor???

2. With this card is it as easy as connecting all monitors via dvi to display port adaptors or have I missed something?

oh and ive tried different cables etc on this monitor but no joy. However when i connect via vga to vga on my laptop the image is fine...

if i drop the refresh rate on the monitor via ati catalyst it drops the res and works ok but as soon as i increase the res back to hd and beyond its back to square 1...

i hope someone can help...

Thanks

Not sure if it's related but when I was setting up my eyefinity one of my monitors kept getting set to 640x480 and I got some sort of link failure error. I read somewhere that to get eyefinity working the best way is to disable 2 of the monitors in CCC and then create the eyefinity group. Worked for me.

Thanks mate,

Ive just tried the monitor on my htpc and it works fine so im wondering if it something to do with the display port adaptor?? The other 2 seem ok but it appears this one just doesnt like it??

What adapter are you using? If it's Display port -> DVI then you need an active adapter as passive ones don't work.
