A friend of mine has just bought a TFT (can't remember what model) and is using it from the DVI out on his Radeon 9500. He has found that Windows power saving isn't working and on closer inspection has found that device manager doesn't even know that a monitor is connected. Does anyone have any idea how to get power saving working or is this a normal limitation of using a DVI output?

power saving certainly should work using DVI. See if there are any drivers to install for the screen from either a supplied CD or from the manufacturers website, that might well help :)

Thanks for the reply. He hadn't installed video card drivers, was just running on SP2 included drivers. All working now! :)
