DVI to HDMI adaptor on FM2 motherboards

Looking to buy a Amd Trinty setup for HTPC but noticed the cheaper boards dont have HDMI onboard. Will DVI to HDMI adaptors work with these to output video and sound?

Depends on the board if they have the DVI port connected to the sound, and if you're using an adapter to take advantage of this.
