Hi Folks,

I have got a few DVI to HDMI connectors with various graphics cards. I want to know can I use them to change a signal from HDMI to DVI. I want to know if I can do something like this

PS3>HDMI cable>HDMI to DVI connector> DVI socket on monitor.

I know they come with GFX cards so you can change the DVI out to a HDMI out but can they work the other way round?

My monitor is currently using a HDMI cable, with the pc side connected to my graphics card via an DVI connector.

No idea if the signal is HDMI now, how can i check? lol.

I presume your connection is GFX card> dvi to hdmi > hdmi cable > monitor.

I am looking to do it the other way HDMI to DVI, not DVI to HDMI.

I think that depends on if you've got a HDCP complianct monitor.

It's this monitor http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-100-SA&groupid=17&catid=17&subcat=
