Sorry if in the wrong section, I'm unsure whether it is general, home cinema/ hi-fi related, etc. :) So Graphics it is! :p

Basically, if I want to hook my PC up to my HD LCD TV do I just need the correct cable? In my case HDMI to DVI (male/male)? I saw Belkin do one for like £10. Pretty sure that's what I need. (Graphics card is a 7800GTX). I wouldn't be bothered about sound as I'd leave that on my 5.1 speakers.

My other question is playing games on the 26" HD screen, will I get a better picture firstly? Would I need to create a custom resolution, or would I struggle to get a decent FPS anyways?

I guess my main purpose is to watch DVD's on the bigger screen.

Thanks! Sorry if this should maybes be moved! :)

All you need to connect the pc to your HDTV is a standard dvi cable or dvi to what ever connector your tv has. As for the image i think it will look better as the 7800 will put out enough power anf the tv should if its a good make auto adjust itself for resolution and the such.
