Can someone please help me out. My tired and cold-ridden brain is failing me today. I need an adapter to go from a DVI out on a graphics card to a vga in on my monitor and after looking in the jungle place, I have faound various versions but can't get my poor brain around what needs to be male and what needs to be female???

I think it's male dvi to female vga isn't it?

I have found one which I think is ok but one of the comments mentions that it doens't have a full set of pins, and is useless for passing through an analogue signal...would this then be no good for me?

Thanks for any help.

It needs to be VGA Female, DVI Male. Ask on the members market, someone will probably have one spare :)

Yup, male DVI, female VGA

This one should be okay.

Removing the link just in case, but just search Cabling4Less on the jungle place.
