I am after a DVI to VGA convertor / Connector. Are they easy to get hold of? I have done a little searching but i may be looking at the wrong things. What it is, i have a TFT with a DVI connection and my mate has a PC with the older VGA connector on his graphics card. I need a convertor / Connector to plug my TFT to his PC. Ta

They are quite easy to get hold of. Can't mention competitors though remember so I do not know what more you are asking for.

The ones that come with graphic cards are VGA to DVI. I want DVI to VGA. I seen some but upwards of £20!!
The ones that come with graphics cards are dvi to vga as I run a vga monitor but my graphics card only had 2 dvi slots so I had to use a dvi to vga converter ;)

It is the other way round mate. When you have a VGA monitor you get an Adapter called AVG to DVI but if you have a DVI monitor then the adapter is DVI to VGA.

Anyway, i just checked the box that my Xerox TFT came in and i found a DVI to VGA adapter!! Awesome as i don't have to buy one now!

Nope he's right, the source is usually first, but the wording can be either way round. The normal adapter is a DVI to VGA adapter, a male DVI-A from the graphics card to 15 pin d-sub female. What I think your asking for is a "DVI-I Female to VGA Male" Adapter used to connect a DVI-I panel to an older VGA graphics card. £5 on a certain auction site.

First question to ask is your panel DVI-I or just DVI-D? Cos DVI-D ain't going to work.
