DVI v VGA

I need advice guys. I have seen a nice 19" WS TFT but it only has VGA. Is that ok or should i try to get one with DVI?

Some people will tell you that you can't notice the difference. But I personally wouldn't got back from DVI I notice the improvement even without my glasses on.

DVI is necessary when moving to larger screens, i would say from 17-19 inches and above it is necessary

I have seen some 19" WS TFT's in shops and the pic looks awesome. I checked the back and they are VGA! Do my eyes need testing? lol

The high the res the more it matter to have DVI, prob wont matter at 15",17", not sure about 19", but ideally if Screen has DVI use it, some dont.

It may have looked awesome, but it COULD have looked better

I suppose i am trying to tell myself that DVI does not matter because i have seen a TFT i really like!! It has a glass front to it too, which is one of the points i need to tick. I don't know of any other models with a Glass screen / DVI. Maybe someone from here can point some out to me?

depends on the screen. if the screen has an inferior vga port, then yes dvi will be better. all things being equal, there wouldnt be a difference in picture quality.

however, the biggest and probably most important difference between the two.....dvi doesnt need messing are with like vga does. plug and go, no screwing with the phaze or anything like that. that IMO is invaluable.
