DVI vs VGA

Only thing I noticed was some noise when the screen was black (booting up) with VGA but with DVI I saw nothing but jet black!

Other than that I can't say I noticed much, sure womeone here will say differently though :)

Samew here didnt really notice any difference, i went from a 19" DVI to a 24" VGA and they look the same. I think DVI has a higher bandwidth than VGA should in theory should transfer information quicker from GPU to monitor.

HDMI has the capability of carry audio as well as video signals. And again improved bandwidth as well as HDCP. In terms of picture difference you will not really notice much at all.

I've never noticed much difference between VGA and DVI on any monitor I've tried it on - however on my projector HDMI is quite a bit crisper and cleaner than VGA.

Differently though. DVI is supposed give purer colours from your input source. Cant say I can see much of a difference but I still use the HDMI.

I did a test between the two once on my 19" samsung BF930 and I found that when using DVI everything was sharper, VGA was fuzzier so I used DVI ever since

DVI is digital, VGA is analogue, that should be enough to tell you which is better, if not, read on. (well, basically, DVI can carry analogue as well, but monitors that have DVI are invariably use the digital signal).

With VGA, the signal has to be converted from digital to analogue to send over the cable, and then back to digital to display on the screen, you'll also get some interference on the cable if long or badly shielded which will lead to problems with the displayed picture. If either of the AD or DA converters are sub-par you will get a bad picture.
