Is this something new or have I just not noticed before? Have seen a DVLA transit around the town over the last couple of days and today I spotted a car up the road with a DVLA marked clamp on it, a quick glance showed me it was lacking a TAX disc.

Sounds good, if it doesn't have tax what else doesn't it have (insurance and/or MOT maybe).

A van across the street from me had it done, which at the time wasn't road worthy and had no tax.

Big DVLA clamp and stickers across it.

A car across the road had it done, a few days later they lifted it onto a lorry with the alarm blaring. It never re appeared but it was a shed.

As said it should be done more often and with the excess second hand wheel clamps available now it may.:D

I've been seeing this happen a few times over the years, more often than not it ends up with the flat bed truck lifting the car on and taking it away.

Seen one near my aunt too with a DVLA clamp.

I assumed it was a car that was suppoed to be SORN but I guess no tax is a valid reason too.

They have been doing it for years, Remember it happening to a work mate about 4 years ago.

Reported a car owned by a guy who lives behind us. He has like 5 cars and parks 2 off his property all the time. Pretty annoying as parking is limited. Very quickly notices were put on the car but its still there for now
