Right tax is up on a motor I got six months ago.

I've stupidly lost the tax bloody reminder.

The fuel type designation (HEAVY OIL?) was incorrect on the previous owners V5c as was the tax type (dissabled) and this was requested for change at the same time it was taxed at DVLA office. I walked away with the new owners tear off. Which I also can't find.

It's not like my paperwork is a state either.

Anyway the V5c in my name still hasn't shown up in that six months.

I can't use the quick tax either phone/net tax service, DVLA office is closed.

Am I likely to convince them to give me either required document reference number over the phone? Hotline is otherwise engaged at present.

You are going to have to contact them and find out where that V5 is.

BTW, heavy oil is the standard term for diesel powered cars, thats not incorrect unless the car is petrol.

Oh is it?

Ah I see. Never owned a desiel.

I'm trying but a)house phone died this morning so I'm having to do it outside where I get better reception and b)the welsh appear to be increadibly busy

:(

I have to ask, did you not think to do this say 2 months after the V5 didnt arrive? Waiting until the tax runs out is a bit silly!

I didn't count on mislaying the reminder!

I did mean to chase the V5 never got round to it.

Woe is me. DVLA office on monday.
