Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences going directly to Swansea to get their licences? The reason I ask is that I need my C1 rather quickly intime to start a new job. (As I passed in 2006 I don't automatically have it) They have said for a 2nd time the Dr has bungled my D4 Medical form. I will double check with them tuesday to confirm this.

If I can ensure this time that it's completed correctly will the DVLA issue me with my Licence in person?

Cheers all.

No. The monkeys that work at the HQ barely scrape together enough IQ points to rival a potato. Go to your local VRO office and you might have better luck.

Of course, all staff at the DVLA are imbeciles..

What you may not know, is that when you call you are directed to a call centre away from any of the buildings that do the practical stuff. Turning up at one of the main buildings all yield the same results as going to your local VRO office, except you may get further as its classed as the HQ.

So is there a chance that if I go to the Birmingham Office that they will be able to issue it there?

Thank you for your rolleyes, but in my somewhat limited experience of 30 plus people that I unfortunately had to deal with, yes those who I have spoken to there are not even classed as imbeciles.

You mind if I ask what the dvla turn around time was the first time you sent the amended form back to them? In a similar position myself and trying to work out if have enough time before the interview to send it off.

And the 50 billion people I spoke to at DVLA.......
30....50 billion - an exaggeration is an exaggeration.

I would very much doubt infact I would say it was an impossibility to go and get a licence like that in person.
