DVR-212D SATA

Hi all, I bought one of these drives today from ocuk. Never used SATA before, and for some reason my PC (vista home) has found the drive BUT wont recognize anything I put into it. Just says Application not found.

Ive tried searching for drivers but cant seem to find any..

My motherboard is a intel bad axe II if that helps.

I have 2 of them in my machine with no problems - have you looked in the bios at the sata port properties, make sure its set to auto if in doubt.

Hi thanks for that, in BIOS its set to auto already.

In device manager its showing the drive as 'ku1145g QST368X SCSI cdrom Device'

But when finding the drive nothing appears in it.. strange
