Hey Guys,

Anybody here play this beast of a game? I'm relatively new to it, i first played in May after hearing about it numerous times. Tried to get into it, but i just couldn't, then i forgot about it.

Until towards the end of August, when i had 2 weeks left of summer to do something, and was bored, so i forced myself to watch 50 hours of tutorials, and get back into it PROPERLY. And here i am, and loving it! However i still have no idea what i am doing :P

But thats all part of the !!FUN!!
 
Yes there is a thread on ocuk for the game..

However as for playing it, I got as far as trying to mine then became fustrated with lack of mouse control as it was all press E for this and W for that

Lol, yeah, most people give up due to the controls/menu, and i must admit the menus are annoying to navigate, but ive got most of the key sequences down now, so its a lot easier! :D

And nothing came up on search for me... But meh, i just really wanna see how many people here play it, and their experience with it..
 
I looked at one tutorial and thought **** that, I like complex games but games that are only difficult through lack of a decent UI design are not my cup of tea
 
Nope, never heard of it :p

It's got a momunental learning curve but once you've gotten the hang of it you'll never look back. Can't wait until the next version when the new cities are introduced. I'll give adventure mode a good hack again then for the first time in ages.

I'm currently on a DF break and spending more time playing Aurora which is like DF in space... But even harder to learn if you can believe it.

Hehe, i totally agree with you there. I can't wait for the next release, i hope it's out for Xmas though!
