If anyone else uses GSYNC can they run Process Monitor and see if dwm.exe is being over used, ie spammed in log files. Seems to only happen with GYSNC ON

Ohmer
Like all the 5xx drivers I've tested, dwm.exe is spamming NV service REG queries ~1000 times a second with these installed. Seems to be just repeating the same pattern for no obvious reason. I don't see any benefit from this branch, so back to 472.47 STUDIO (behaviour is completely absent).

Yeah I get this apparently. I'm on driver version 511.65 with a RTX 3080 FE on a Dell 34" UW G-sync screen.

Not noticing any particular issues though?

Ok, but what impact does it cause? Is my fps lower in games? Have any benchmarks to prove it?

In terms of performance not sure yet, but it's trying to access/poll the same file dwm.exe thousands of times which means the computer is working overtime in the background when it shouldn't!

It's a bug in the latest drivers with GSYNC and needs fixing

Nvidia has just issued a hot fix driver. Is this issue now fixed?

Interesting, I've just removed the GT710 from my system so can finally update from 472.12 but I am thinking I might just not for now

Sounds like someone left a debug mode flag set to TRUE before compiling these drivers. :)
