dwmcore.dll is missing

Log into windows today to find this error message, pop up

dwmcore.dll is missing or corrupt

basically Desktop Window Manager (dwm.exe) is the compositing window manager that gives you all those pretty effects in Windows Vista as well as Windows 7, this is a fresh re-install that i have just done 2 days ago, i have tried a system restore to when i can remember aero working although, this just happening randomly is quite stange dont you think?

Any help would be appreciated.

I would do a Memtest. Previously I've had random file errors like that when I had a dodgy stick of RAM or my CPU was overclocked too far.

i think i may run a chk dsk, the memory and other components of my system are perfectly stable, as i said i ran windows 7 build 7600 previous to this for months on end without issues.
