DX10.1

If you read the Nvidia interview last week, you will see they say no game made in 2008 will have DX 10.1 features (claiming they work with all the major Game companies).

There has been dozens of Dx10.1 topics in here, it adds little that aint already there in Dx10 cards but its now optional and will be mandatory afterwards.

Well, I bet its true, even MS said DX10.1 was nothing special or to worry about.

How many peeps are gaming in DX10 today on how many Real DX10 games ?

Interesting stance considering the marketing machine SM3 was for the Geforce 6 series. I agree DX 10.1 games will take an age to show up en masse...

nVidia with inferior DX support - shock horror! ;):p

ps3ud0

Why is that, the Nvidia's Flagship cards right now are 1+ year old tech (GTX/Ultra).

Nvidia will have DX10.1 Flagship cards by Feb 2008, well before any DX10.1 game sees the light of day.

I see no issue.

And then we'll hear how they are better at it and how it's possibly the most important feature to hit the graphics market in the history of the world...
38-- have DX10.1 support, that's a good thing, despite people having a moan about how it's "useless"... Could help drag the cards lifespan out for the people who own them. (Not everyone buys a new card every few months, let alone every year) I know people who are still happily running 6800GT's, SM3 helped those cards last a bit longer. *cough*Bioshock*cough*

Not that the experience with a 6800GT in Bioshock is any good.

Have you tried it?
It ran it medium settings at 1280x720, not mind-blowing but playable none-the-less. For the graphics whores out there it's not good, you could see the difference with it running on high on the system next to it. It was still the same game though.

I've never had a 6800, but its not good enough for me if it cant be played on high.
