DX10 Graphics cards

Get a DX9 card now.

DX10 cards will probably only be DX10 enabled with a performance hike, and probably not enough to cope with the extra demand on them by the DX10 features.

Ill be buying 3/4 months after the 2nd/3rd gen DX10 cards.

Bit like when dx9 pix3.0 6800 came out, they where hot, and nasty, but now 7900 are cooler and faster etc...

Recon dx10 nvidia g80 wont be that good to start with, only the second version dx10 cards?
 
Yeah but look at the time gap between the 6800 and the 7900. Sometimes you can wait and wait and wait, but something better is already around the corner when you buy so dont bother
 
My dilema is that I'm looking at getting a TH2Go setup for Flight Simulator FSX.

That's 3840x1024 pixels. Could get one or two GX2 to power through it nicely but FSX will be DX10 enabled with the released of Vista. I.e. how will an SLI G80 compare to SLI or quad SLI G79?

Wow, your really pushing it there arn't you. Unless you spend mega ££ for quad SLI your really stuffed. :eek:

Im running FS9 with a X1900XT-X @ stock and it runs one 1600x1200 main window + a 1024x768 dial window perfectly. :D

FS-X should be a walk in the park. (hopefully lol)
 
Im gonna get a 7950GX2 in a week or so, unless this £300 deal that Gibbo has been talking about goes a head.

Im not going to get a DX10 card until the 3rd Generation ones are out. Until then my 7950GX2 or maybe X1950.. should be just fine.

A dual SLI setup runs it fine apparently, quad even better.
