DX12 or DX11

Hi,

Would installing the dreadful W8 with DX12 improve the performance of my 970?
I was running W8.1 for a few months ,but hated it. So I re-installed W7.

DX12 is only from Windows 10 onwards and from what I know, nothing uses DX12 yet.

Windows 8.1 doesn't have DX12.

And your games aren't suddenly going to turn DX12.

So long and short answer is "No" to your actual question.

Win 8.1 is great in my opinion but each to their own!

win 8.1 runs things faster; specially games as there is a lower foot print. I'm not sure why there's a lot of hate on 8 or 8.1 as its a solid OS; I can do things faster in it.....

if you have a key for it I'd use it over 7.....

After using 8.1 for a while, i find it a lot better than 7 now.
