Hi I have read some conflicting stuff about my GPU supporting DX12. I have a R9 280 I was wondering if anyone knows if it DX12 compatible?

you could try opening up a run command and typing "dxdiag" and checking the feature level under display tab ( I think) although it still doesn't recognise my 7950 as supporting DX12 which it's supposed to apparently.

Using dxdiag it says my 290x isn't dx12 compatable  only 11.1

looks like they lied to us all lol

Look under System tap. Ignore Feature levels.

That isn't what the GPU supports (necessarily) - if you are on older versions of Windows it will only say 11, etc. as well.

To be clear., Its what the GPU supports in Windows 10 because older Windows don't have DX12.

You put a GTX 280 in Win 10 it wont say DX12
