Does anyone know any dx9 benchmark software that I can download for free? Both for CPU and gpu, or one that does both. Thanks!

3D mark 03 is great for graphics and has a CPU test Dual Core though, 3D Mark 05 is very CPU limited so not graet for graphics again Dual Core, 3D Mark 06 Does both and works well with quad core and HT enabled CPU this is probably your best option to be honest.
Unigen Basic does mainly GPU but different CPU settings do effect the overall score but not as much as GPU.
If your testing 7870 use Windows 7.

Thanks for the help, nah this is a second build, phenom ii x2 with a 4850 running xp. 3D Mark 03 might be the way to go then!
4850 go XP or 7 yes with Cat 11 series drivers.
I still would say 06 to be honest as it uses the cores you have available and is a higher res test. Yes you score higher with quad and HT but its not essential.
03 is also good I cant deny it but the graphics tests are low res. I still love 03 and 01 infact. 03 Test 1 is CPU bound and the other three tests GPU bound.
